During the duration of my time in the UTeach-Liberal Arts Program I have had the opportunity to experience the facilitation of education from an array of ways. I have had the opportunity to work alongside an inclusive teacher, a tradition in-classroom teacher and most recently I have had the chance to work with a teacher remotely and gain invaluable knowledge and experience operating as an instructor virtually. Having a diverse background in my field placements has allowed me to be diverse in my ability to instruct and teach students. My plans for the future, in an ideal world, would be to work for a school district that allows me to utilize the many techniques and learning tools I have learned while being able to have the freedom to connect to students in a way I feel they can be reached at, intellectually and spiritually. My plans upon graduation is to find a home teaching in the Austin/& or surrounding areas. I plan on teaching in the content area of History, Social-Studies &/or World Cultures. My time as a preservice teacher has allowed me to appreciate the time spent in the classroom and has significantly enlightened me just how valuable in-person education is to the growing child. I have seen first-handedly the impact quality in-person instruction is and how valuable it is to the growing minds of our youth. I have come out of this experience ready, now more than ever, to be in the classroom, teaching our future generation.
